Regular Outlook users often face the problem of their Outlook slowing down due to an oversized pst file that has a lot of unnecessary and unused emails. • Select the Save in: option and choose the removable media where you want to save the data. Give the file a name of your choice, in the File Name: field, and then click OK.
• You can optionally select to encrypt and password protect your pst file by choosing the options available as shown below, and then click OK.

• A new archive location appears on the navigation pane in Outlook. You can select the folders or messages you want to archive and move them to the new location.
• Once all the messages have been moved, you can click on the Close button to complete the Archiving process.

This method of archiving your emails is definitely good, provided archiving is done in a proper manner.
