Step 1: Install the Recover Outlook PST application, and double click the desktop shortcut to launch the application. The Main window is displayed, as shown in Image 1. Three buttons are displayed on the Main Window namely, "Open PST File", "Find PST File" and "Select Outlook Profile".

Step 2: From the options available in the Main window, select the "Find PST File" option . In the new window, select the drive / partition on which you want to search for the PST file, and click on "Find". The software scans the selected drive / partition and displays all the found PST files. Select the PST file from which you want to recover Journals and Contacts, and click on "Next" as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Once you click "Next" the software displays a new window, where you need to select the Scan method and the destination path to save the recovered Outlook data. Select the "Normal Scan" option and destination path as shown in Image 3. Click on "Repair" to start the repair process and recover Journals and Contacts. If the PST file has been damaged extensively, select the "Smart Scan" option for scanning

Step 4: On clicking the "Repair" button, the software repairs the selected PST file, and recovers Journals and Contacts into a new PST file that is saved in the selected destination drive. All the recovered Journals and Contacts are loaded in the main window of the application, as shown in Image 4.
