Repair damaged pst file in Outlook 2007
The pst file has been the constant feature in all versions of Outlook till date. This file stores all the data regarding emails that were received, sent or deleted. Besides data regarding emails the pst file also maintains data related to all the different folders, contacts, appointments, RSS feeds and many other pst file related data. However, this pst file can get damaged due to several reasons which could result in the emails becoming inaccessible.
One of the main reasons for the pst file getting damaged is due to improper compacting. Compacting is usually done to reduce the size of the pst file that is oversized so that Outlook works smoothly without errors. However, errors during the compacting process could result in the pst file getting damaged. Another common reason for the pst file getting damaged could be due to Antivirus scanning. This happens when the Antivirus installed on your computer is enabled to scan emails and due to this it interferes with the Send / Receive process of Outlook causing corruption of the pst file.
PST file can also get damaged if it is imported into a new version of Outlook. This happens due to incompatibility with the newer version, as the location for storage of the file and the way it is organized is different on a new version. Sharing of a single PST file by many users over the network could also result in the PST file getting damaged. The damaged pst file can however be repaired using a good PST Repair Tool. Outlook PST Repair Tool lets you repair damaged pst file easily and recover lost pst data. The tool will help the user repair Outlook PST inbox and retrieve all the deleted / lost emails with ease.
